Rob Dyrdek was born in Kettering, Ohio, on June 28, 1974. While raised in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio, he discovered his passion for skateboarding at a young age. His skill led him to participate in local skateboarding contests at just 12 years.

In 2006, Dyrdek began expanding his horizons. Alongside his best friend Christopher Big, Dyrdek starred in an MTV reality series titled Bob & Big. After “Rob & Big” ended, Dyrdek starred in several other MTV reality shows, including “Rob Dyrdek’sDyrdek’s Fantasy Factory,” which followed him as he built his dream skateboarding facility in Los Angeles. The show featured several celebrity guests, including Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, and Ludacris.
However, Dyrdek’s work in the entertainment industry was wider than MTV. He appeared in films like “Street Dreams” and “Righteous Kill.” “Ridiculousness,” a TV show, was hosted and created by him, too. The show features viral videos and commentary from Dyrdek and his co-hosts and has become a popular staple of MTV’sMTV’s programming lineup.
In addition to his television and entrepreneurial pursuits, Dyrdek has been involved in several philanthropic initiatives. He founded the Rob Dyrdek Foundation in 2003, dedicated to building skateboarding parks and helping underprivileged youth.
